This is the definition of mobile gameplay, very little decisions to make and lots of grinding.I undestand the desire for a simple strategy game, but it is not casual, it is much lower than that.Avoid. It is cleanly done but it is one of the least interesting game on offer for PC.Gaemplay: - adjust slider between Ressources, Builders, Warriors and Population increase (no reason to change every turn)- press enter occassionaly you get a battle either click autofight or retreat, based on the prediction.once in a while you get enough gold to purchase an upgrade, but gold come very slowly. That's all,. How the game is supposed to be played: Strategically position your citizens in various professions so as to build your kingdom to the fullest, balancing multiple resources against natural disasters and raids by savage monsters, teleporting across the map exploring the world in a grand adventure. How the game is actually played: Completely gut your army and retreat from every battle, relying on the monks to recruit for you between missions. Don't actually fight at all as the losses will never be worth the absolutely miniscule gold you get in return. Don't invest in any alchemy shops either as you will never *ever* get the 250 gold you put into it back. Instead, turtle up, run from every fight and ride on the in-between level rewards to buy your population all the way to victory, and feel dirty inside for such a cheap victory.Pros: - Only cost me $2.Cons:- You get what you pay for. I've had more fun counting ceiling tiles.. It's "fun" the way a Skinner box is "fun."The goal of the game is to rach level 101. You do this by managing sliders that control the percentage of effort going into resources, recruitment, construction, and army. The game itself consists of that plus clicking Start Day/End Day ad nauseum. Occasionally there are fights where you get attacked and can choose to defend yourself or retreat. This seems entertaining at first but the fights are heavily RNG based to the point that around Lvl 20, ca rounding error WILL get you one-shotted on a regular basis. If you win the fight you get a small amount of gold for buying upgrades. If you lose your population resets to 0 and you go down a level. If you retreat, which you can ALWAYS do, there are really no tangible consequences. To beat the game: Set builders/army to 0, put everything into resources/population development, retreat from every battle, and dump all of the gold you get from leveling into Town bonuses. Hit Start Day -> Retreat -> End Day on repeat for 10-20min. Be greeted by bland "Congratulations! You won!" screen. There, I just saved you $0.50 and an hour of your life. ♥♥♥♥ this "game.". really really boring gameway to repetive and too simplistic for a "Strategie" game. Even though I've read all the reviews I still bought it when it was 0,45€. Not worth it.I hoped it would be like Age of Castles #1, but it's not!Besides the fact that you can drop down your entire castle and people by losing a fight the computer says you are going to completely win, there is no goal. You can move freely around the map without any purpose. I'm lvl 30 at the moment and still no clou what the hell I'm supposed to do.Trust me: don't buy it. Go het something else for your 0,45€ cents.. Bought it for the 2006 nostalgia. Not disappointed, though I can see why other people are easily disappointed.. Bought it for the 2006 nostalgia. Not disappointed, though I can see why other people are easily disappointed.. Gold income needs to be better. There needs to be another way of winning beside reaching level 100.This game desperately is in need of a goal to reach because as of right now all you need to do is click start day, end day, and retreat keep doing that and you win. Only reason why I got this game is I wanted to get one of the most craziest and dumb game possible for my 69th game. The trailer was pretty crazy and the game was pretty dumb lol.I really wanted to give this game a thumbs up but as it is right now I just can't nor can I recommend this for anyone to get.. Very simple time waster. If you concentrate on building population and retreating from all conflicts without putting any resources into your army you should be fine. If you try other approaches it might make the game play more difficult. I noticed this game is free from other sources.
